We create supportive ecosystems to help institutions, especially those in the development sector, leverage technology to impact millions of lives.
Additionally, we collaborate with social impact start-ups and provide skilling programmes for young entrepreneurs in cutting-edge technology. The TechForGood Programme encompasses various initiatives as outlined below:
BigTech Programme: In India, NGOs often struggle with limited access to technology, hindering their ability to achieve the SDGs. Nasscom Foundation's TechForGood initiative aims to bridge this gap. Through the innovative BigTech programme, we offer subsidised tech solutions tailored for non-profits, ensuring they have authentic software at affordable prices. We actively engage with NGOs through platforms like TechBaithak, listening to their unique challenges and providing customised solutions. Our goal is to empower NGOs with the necessary technological infrastructure, enabling them to streamline operations and drive meaningful change. Together, we are building a future where technology becomes a catalyst for social progress, empowering NGOs to reach new heights and impact countless lives.
Connecting For Good Programme: We empower NGOs to tackle social challenges by leveraging technology. Through the Connecting for Good initiative in partnership with Vodafone Idea Foundation, we provide technology support through grants to address resource constraints. By integrating technology across our portfolio, we enhance efficiency and transparency. Innovative solutions like MyAmbar for women's safety, DigiSakshar for universal education, and ManagR for operational efficiency amplify our impact. We also promote gender equality through Girl Rising and tackle hunger with Share Food Share Joy. Childline 1098 ensures the well-being of distressed children. Together, we are creating an ecosystem that drives innovation and empowers NGOs to make a lasting difference through technology.
Social Innovations for Youth (SIFY) Programme: In the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, where technology and innovation converge, we embrace the abundant opportunities that arise. Our Innovation Spaces, within the SIFY Programme, provide a nurturing environment for students to explore, experiment, and embrace cutting-edge technologies. Through IoT, AI, ML, and 3D printing, we equip the next generation with essential skills and a pioneering mindset. By fostering creativity, curiosity, and hands-on experiences, we empower students to bridge the gap between theory and practice. With access to state-of-the-art technologies and mentorship, young innovators can turn their ideas into impactful solutions.
- Cisco ThinQbator: nasscom foundation and Cisco's ThingQbator project empower students to transform ideas into prototypes, addressing local challenges. With five innovation spaces, the project builds digital skills, fosters local solutions, links innovation to markets, and accelerates student entrepreneurship. In its fourth year, ThingQbator has impacted 30,000 users, with 33 teams participating and 16 teams shortlisted. This project empowers students, fosters ingenuity, and cultivates a thriving entrepreneurial future.
- Ciena Spaces: Ciena Spaces, a collaboration between Ciena and nasscom foundation, empowers young innovators to transform ideas into thriving businesses. With nurturing environments at top universities, students explore new technologies and embrace innovation. Seed funding, technical mentoring, and recognition at InnovateX fuel their journey towards a future of remarkable achievements.
Social Innovations Acceleration Programme
- जनCARE Innovation Challenge: Nasscom Foundation's जनCARE Innovation Challenge revolutionises healthcare in India through technology. With a focus on last-mile solutions, the programme supports health tech startups across 10 states and has already deployed 14 successful startups. The SaveMom Case Study was featured at Harvard Business School, and industry leaders like Alveofit and AstraZeneca adopted the programme. We are proud of our impact and aim to further improve healthcare delivery for a positive societal impact.
- Telangana AI Mission (T-AIM): In a remarkable collaboration between nasscom foundation and T-AIM, "The Grand Challenge on Ideas and Innovation" addresses pressing societal issues in education, sustainability, and health. By harnessing the power of AI, we empower social entrepreneurs to create sustainable solutions and build a future of sustainable development. The Forest AI Grand Challenge preserves and manages forests using AI technology. Together, we ignite positive change and foster sustainable development in Telangana and beyond.
