The industry has gradually transformed itself into a world class player involved in building state-of-the-art products, solutions and technologies. As an industry, we are very conscious of our responsibility to society and feel that the time has come for us to deploy this knowledge and experience in ICT towards solving the needs of the larger community in India.
The majority of our member companies have been engaged in such programs for some time. NASSCOM Foundation intends to become a catalyst, encouraging our members to do more, capturing best practices and assisting their replication and harnessing a greater array of resources, from the industry and beyond, to make a major impact on the development of society.
We have made a small start but, with the encouragement and support of our members, hope to set an example that would encourage others to emulate and help change the face of India.
