Overview:
The Empowering Aspirational Blocks: Bridging the Digital Divide through Last-Mile Digital Literacy program aims at empowering the communities from marginalized backgrounds with enhanced digital literacy and access to Government schemes. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for managing and monitoring the on-ground implementation of the digital literacy project.
Associate will play a key role in supporting the Program Manager and Lead by conducting research, developing concept notes, and crafting proposals for new ideas focused on digital literacy, computer literacy, and AI fluency for last-mile communities. In addition, the Research Associate will be responsible for overall documentation for the Digital Literacy vertical, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, project records, and knowledge management.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Assistant Manager - Digital Literacy, she/he/they will be responsible to manage a region ensuring smooth implementation of the project. Broad structure of responsibilities is as below:
Ideate and develop innovative concepts focused on enhancing digital literacy, computer literacy, and AI fluency for marginalized and last-mile communities.
Prepare detailed concept notes and proposals to secure funding and support from key stakeholders, including government bodies and private sector partners.
Conduct in-depth research on relevant topics such as digital policies, AI education, government schemes, and the digital divide in underserved areas.
Provide data-driven insights and analysis that inform the development of new initiatives aimed at bridging the digital gap in rural and remote regions.
Take full responsibility for the documentation of all activities and initiatives under the Digital Literacy vertical.
Ensure accurate and timely reporting of project progress, outcomes, and impact through detailed reports, presentations, and briefs for internal and external stakeholders.
Manage knowledge documentation, including best practices, learnings, and case studies for the Digital Literacy vertical.
Develop high-quality funding proposals that articulate the objectives, scope, and expected outcomes of digital literacy and AI initiatives.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proposals align with the organization’s strategic goals and are compelling to potential funders.
Work closely with the Programme Manager to conceptualize and design new projects that foster digital empowerment in last-mile communities.
Support the preparation of project plans and timelines to ensure the effective rollout of new digital literacy and AI fluency initiatives.
Key Requirements:
Post-Graduate, or equivalent standard of education essential - ideally in rural management, international development, public policy or other social sciences
Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience
Understanding of the Digital Literacy landscape in India with experience in executing relevant projects.
Privy to writing proposals, creating strategies and engaging with potential partners
Good report writing skills as per internal / external requirements
Knowledge of project monitoring & evaluation (M&E), project-implementation-plan (PIP), impact evaluation and ToC framework’
Ability to translate concepts into learning outcomes.
Passion towards working in social sector.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
A team player with understanding of importance of working in and with a team in a cohesive manner.

Readiness for extensive travelling (60-70% of time) across India.
