- What is the objective of NASSCOM Social Innovation Honours?
To recognize information and communication technologies (ICT)innovations that have met a social development need or helped organizations achieve their social development objectives.
- How does NASSCOM Foundation define innovation?
Innovation can be a product, process, or technology. It can also be a principle, an idea, an intervention, or a combination of all these using ICT.

- What is the deadline for applications?
The last date for application is 1st September 2011
- What is the application process for NSIH?
Please read the rules and regulations thoroughly to determine if your organization is eligible to apply for NSIH.
The application process includes the following stages:
- Level I: Applicants have to fill online Level I application form
- Level II: Selected applicants shallreceive an email from NSIH team inviting them to fill a comprehensive Level II application form
- Initial Jury Screening: The applications will be screened and scored by our Initial Jury Panel
- Due Diligence: A due diligence process would be done for the top 5 applicants in each category and scored. The process includes interviews, site visits, and reference checks.
- Final Presentation: The top 3 applicants in each category are shortlisted and invited to present to the Final Jury Panel.Winners are determined by the Final Jury.
- Honours: The winners will be honoured at the NASSCOM India Leadership Summit in February 2012
- Is there a deadline for applications?
Yes, at every stage there are deadlines to apply for NSIH. Kindly follow the timelines provided in the Rules and Regulations section
- If my organization had applied previously for NSIH and was declined, can we reapply?
Yes, you can reapply for NSIH under a suitable category
- Can I submit multiple applications in a particular category?
Yes, you can apply for multiple entries in one category if you have more than one initiative. In other words, only one initiative is allowed per application in an Honours category.
- Can I apply in more than one category?
Yes, you can apply subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria for the category.
- What are the parameters on which my project would be evaluated?
The applications will be judged in every round based on the below five parameters:
- ICT Innovation: Innovation using technology in a unique way for social development
- Social Impact: Impact of innovation on social development
- Cost & Timeline: Cost and time required to implement the innovation
- Sustainability: Future sustainability of the initiative
- Scalability: Potential for scale
- How can I submit my application?
The online link of the application form is available on the NASSCOM Foundation website: http://www.nasscomfoundation.org/nsih/apply_now.html
Applications must be submitted only through the application link provided. Any Entries submitted through other means will NOT be accepted.
- Are there any general instructions to be followed for filling the applications?
- To start with, you need to create your account
- You should save your application at regular intervals
- After submitting you can check the status of the application form by logging into your account
- What if I forget my Password?
If you forget your password, you can click ’Forgot Password’ and provide your mail address, and the password information will be sent to you.
- How will I know that my online application has been received?
You will receive an email acknowledgment that your application has been received within 24 hours of electronic submission.
- What happens to my application after it is submitted?
Your application will first be reviewed for completeness, eligibility and adherence to the application guidelines, including character limit. Incomplete and ineligible applications will be declined without further review. Applications that meet eligibility criteria will be read and reviewed carefully by NSIH team. After a thorough review, applications that fit the NSIH criteria will be invited to complete the Level II application.
- Is there an application fee associated with the NASSCOM Social Innovation Honours?
No, there is no application fee.
