NASSCOM Foundation’s BiG Bridge program aims to enable education, employability and entrepreneurship through computer donations.
NASSCOM Foundation launched the BiG Bridge program in April 2009. The program is an offering to IT companies to ensure responsible e-waste disposal and also to avoid piracy of software (usually NGOs get hardware but cannot afford legal software). A lot of companies have bonded machines which are considerably difficult to donate to NGOs. BiG Bridge takes care of these issues and allows a seamless transfer. The BiG Bridge program provides a complete IT disposal facility to Indian companies, giving new purpose to redundant computers and peripherals.
BiG Bridge this year too, has set an ambitious target for itself. NASSCOM Foundation encourages all Corporates to donate computers to serve the underserved community in the areas of education, employability, health and entrepreneurship.
