Skills Building Program PDF Print E-mail

There is a shortage of skilled manpower across several industries whether it’s IT, Animation and Gaming, Retail, Insurance, Banking or Infrastructure. The IT and ITES industry can play an important role in identifying certain jobs where we could build up skills and capacities of people from underserved communities keeping in mind the environment, their capabilities, academics and other constraints.

NF has identified three categories of people for this initiative—women, adolescents and People with Disabilities (PwDs). These skills building programs are meant to economically empower the target group by equipping them with skills that leads to gainful employment.

Anizooms Animation AcademyUnder NASSCOM Foundation’s Poverty Alleviation Program, we conduct training to under-served youth and women on Animation Skills through a program  called "Anizooms".  Anizooms has been set up in Hyderabad, Sangli and Delhi. These centres aim to engage young but financially backward people to learn animation so that they can increase their incomes.

There is also the CEDAT program which is aimed at the differently abled, and construction and allied skills building for unskilled workers. NF also helps with their internship and placements within the industry.
